Healsburg Feb 11th.
There certainly are "all kinds of love." in the air. Unfortunately I can't be there to share.
With Margo and Don and some youngsters, we meet Mondays and Wednesdays PM in English 80 Small Book Publication at Santa Rosa JC to work on "First Leaves." It is the art and literary jounal that had been put out each year for 62 years by the JC until 2002. Somehow it got back in the budget for Spring 2009 The deadline for submissions for up to five original poems, art, or prose under 4,000 words has been extended from Feb 2nd to Feb 9email me for the snail mail address or format for email submission.
You can also check out coffeeconnection.co.uk for my new Cowboy Valentine poem "She Opened My Eyes - What a Surprise." I am posted there as tjmjr. Have a Happy Valentines Day In Healdsburg without me, Margo and Don.

i appreciate Ed's interest not only in my poetry but in my artwork (and honestly, when anyone shows appreciation for my creative work). What comes to mind is how difficult it can be to be a poet/artist in a culture that really doesn't value either, much less understand. I mean, unless you are a Prince, a Personality, or have major connexions. But for main street, we have to create sub culture to endure and support each other sometimes until we have enough belief in ourselves to really, really commit to being exactly who we are. Thanks, Ed for making a space for us--Centa !!

Very nicely stated, Centa. Subculture, indeed. Great word for where we dwell. And you're very welcome.
