It's the Hope, Stupid
Recall how Bill Clinton won on James Carville's slogan, "It's the economy, stupid!" Well now, it's all about something else. Something much simpler. It's really about Hope! And Barack Obama is the right person at the right time with the right message not only for the nation but for the world.

More On Hope

May I be the first on the blog to congratulate you for making a wise decision. I was worried about you for awhile.
That said, I take the mantle of the all time flip flopper, having said early on that a person of color would not be elected president for another generation and then turning 180 and saying Obama would be the next president of the USA. I hope I'm right. For the sake of the country and for ours to have been alive to see it happen. At least I'm trying to make through this November.
On the political side, I understand your comment about hope, as I understand your philosophical poeticness. And hope is good and needed. But, unfortunately, for this election year, it will be about the economy, stupid. By November, the economy could be so bad people will be burning funiture to keep warm.
And John McCain wants to commit the US to at least another 100 years in Iraq. Let's see, at $100Billion per year that's......Doom's Day!
Do you realize that if the personal income tax was abolished tomorrow, the federal government would be able to function on it's other revenue at the same level as 1999? Do you realize how much money would be put into circulation immediately if that happened? Ford, GM and Chrysler would be hiring, not laying off 100,000.
Of course, the occupation of Iraq would have to end immediately also.
Is Ron Paul really as goofy as people think?
I'm with you! I've had an Obama bumper sticker since August ...

GOOD CHOICE------I LIKED EDWARDS BUT THE THE CHARISMA WAS MISSING. A GREAT VP CHOICE---PERHAPS WHAT HE WAS TRYING FOR.---I like Obama because of the fresh ideas. I hope Blumberg decides not to run---that would scare me.
